Pune’s IT sector is expanding at an exponential pace with IT exports touching  $ 3.6 billion. Hinjewadi IT park is the hub of IT activity in Pune and is host to Software Companies like Infosys, Wipro, Satyam, TCS, Cognizant, Persistent Systems Ltd, KPIT Cummins, TTL, Azteksoft, Geometric, IBM Global and many other local and International IT firms. Software giant Microsoft is intending to set up a Rs. 700 Crores facility in the coming future.

The first 3 phases of the IT Park are already functional and 2 more phases are under planning stages, once completed, the IT Park will be amongst the largest in the region and will be spread over 4000 acres of land mass.

The Hinjewadi IT Park was rated amongst the top investment destination’s in Asia by E & Y. Currently, the IT segment in Pune has a work force of about 1.6 million, which is expected to touch 2.5 million by 2010 and 4 million by 2014.
